Discipleship - Adult
Adult Discipleship aims at introducing people to Christ, helping people grow in their relationship with Christ and equipping people to serve Christ by serving others. We do this by encouraging vital communication with God and by providing courses, small groups, resources, and mentoring, training, leadership and service opportunities. We encourage all people to grow through the four phases of the above spiritual continuum.
- Exploring Christianity by exploring the relevance of Jesus, the Holy Spirit, the Bible, worship and prayer for one’s life through courses, small groups and individual study.
- Growing in Christ by getting to know, love, and follow Jesus through personal time with Him, worship services, courses, small groups and other basic spiritual practices.
- Close to Christ through prayer and worship, being in a small group, being transformed through God’s presence, love, and word, and discovering and using one’s gifts and abilities in service to others.
- Christ-centered by living in God’s presence and loving God more than anything, by constant conversation with God, by living under the leadership and power of Christ in all areas of life as completely as possible, by continuing to follow the practices of the first three phases, and by helping others to move through the first three phases of maturing in Christ for God’s glory.
