Upward Soccer - Indoors
INDOORS THIS WINTER
Upward Sports, the world’s largest Christian sports program for children, was created with a vision to provide the best sports experience possible for every child. Each year some one million people around the world play, coach, referee, or volunteer in Upward Sports leagues and camps hosted by more than 2,600 churches.
Anyone – children and volunteers of any faith or no faith – can participate in Upward Sports.
Upward Soccer is a sports program for kids ages 5-11 that teaches the fundamentals of the sport while emphasizing sportsmanship and a winning attitude.
Children will learn soccer skills such as ball handling, passing, rules of the game, and have fun playing the game as well as learning God’s truths. Upward Soccer aims to bring out “the winner” in every child – regardless of the game’s score.
This program runs indoors at Trinity Bible Church, 4101 Stagecoach Rd., Osgoode, from 6:30-7:30 p.m. on Thursdays from January 19 to March 29 and includes a 15 minute teaching of a Christian value that relates to sports and life and 45 minutes of soccer skill training and scrimmages. Cost: $35 which provides many things for the children. This is a non-profit ministry. If the cost is beyond a family financially, please contact Help can be arranged.
The following courses are offered for parents and others at the same time, 6:30-7:30 p.m., “Raising Kids with a Faith that Lasts and Equipping Kids to Face Today's World" or "Not a Fan" (see Adult Programs for more information.) A nursery and kindergarten group is available for children under five years of age. A free alternate children’s program is available for children ages 5-11 who are not interested in soccer.
An optional supper is also available for $2.50 per person over three years of age at 5:45 p.m. Let Keith Brown know at or 613-445-2834 if you are coming for supper so enough food can be prepared.
