"Go, therefore, and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit"
Global Missions at TBCO is about sharing the gospel and sharing ourselves and our resources: two wings of a dove. We are propelled by these two verses:
"How then can they call on the one they have not believed in? And how can they believe in the one of whom they have not heard? And how can they hear without someone preaching to them? And how can anyone preach unless they are sent? As it is written: "How beautiful are the feet of these who bring good news! (Romans 10:14-15); and
"At the present time your plenty will supply what they need, so that in turn their plenty will supply what you need. The goal is equality, as it is written: "The one who gathered much did not have too much, and the one who gathered little did not have too little." (2 Corinthians 8:14-15)
A TBCO Couple
We support a couple currently in Thailand working with OMF International. The Mission of OMF is "To glorify God by the urgent evangelization of East Asia's billions." The Vision of OMF is "Through God's grace we aim to see an indigenous biblical church movement in each people group of East Asia, evangelizing their own people and reaching out in mission to other peoples". Rod & Anne work in a support capacity to enable others to realize this mission and vision. Their team motto is "Serving those who Serve".
Al & Caulene
Al & Caulene used to worship at the MET in Ottawa and were friends with some of the couples who started TBCO. We have therefore supported the Bussards since our beginning. They began their early missionary days taking Bibles into Russia and now are living and working in Slovakia as their base. Their multiple projects take them to Southern Sudan, Ethiopia and Kenya.
Trinity Bible Church of Ottawa supports a missionary who works through Pioneers in southern Ontario. Her work is to reach out to new Canadians and help them settle in every way possible, and to share the gospel where there is interest.
A TBCO Family
TBCO supports a family now serving in Asia. Please contact the Committee for more information.
We also give some support to a couple who work on a reserve on Manitoulin Island and we send short-term trips out to various places.
The TBCO Missions Committee
Members of the committee are: Carrie Sheldrick, Deacon; Mariann Sheldrick; and David Guretszki.
