"In the aftermath of devastating floods in Ottawa, Ontario on July 1, 2026, Ottawa has logged more than 5,400 calls related to flooded basements, far exceeding normal municipal capacity for cleanup and recovery. Upon invitation, Samaritan's Purse is deploying staff, volunteers and specialty equipment, including a fully equipped Disaster Relief Unit to assist homeowners in need.
